Description 907shane@gmail.com 2022-01-24 23:12:22 UTC
When the Calc window is full screen on the LEFT monitor in a two-monitor setup where the right monitor is an extension of the second, but smaller than the left, the Tooltip that pops up on the Sidebar is not visible or only partially appears on the right screen. Visibility on the right monitor depends on how the smaller monitor is positioned in the Windows control panel when setting up the monitors.

For example, in my case the Right monitor sits vertically in the middle of the larger Left monitor, so the sidebar Tooltips at the top are truncated on the Left monitor (there is no Right monitor at that height to show it on), but the lower Tooltips do appear at the very top of the Right monitor, although they are difficult to read.

It would be better if in full screen window mode, regardless of screen arrangement, the Tooltip would right justify as it does on a single monitor OR as it does correctly on the RIGHT monitor in a two monitor setup.

See attached screenshot, bottom right of image, you will see a truncated tooltip for "Style Inspector". Only "Style" is shown on this monitor, whereas the remainder of the text appears on the left side of the right-hand screen. I would consider this 'normal' behavior if the window was spread across the monitors, but when the window is maximized in the left monitor, then nothing should be spread to the other, not even pop-ups. They should be right-justified to the window so that it is readable as if it were a single monitor setup.

It seems that there is a logic error where the tool-tip needs to check if the window is maximized on a multi-screen setup and adjust as required.
